Tips for moms with a new baby
Tell the older kid how SMART and GENTLE and LOVING and WONDEFUL the baby thinks he/she is. Tell the older kid what the little one is thinking and make it great! They might live up to the words.
Allow the older child to have baby moments of doing what the baby does... snuggle mommy for a long time, be alone with mommy, drink warm milk, be swaddled, etc.
Special toys that only come out when nursing
Use a sound machine or fan to muffel sounds... this is a must for us! -Jill
